A chill-inducing breeze cooled the skin of the two young boys as they stared out into the wilderness, the silence deafening. The veranda was dimly lit by a single oil lantern, dusting everything a slight orange within its radius. Gon, like usual, quickly got bored of just sitting there, staring. 'How bland' were his thoughts, frowning as he turned his gaze to his white-haired counterpart who was leaning on his arms, his unyielding peer almost boring a hole into the canopy of the old oak trees, his eyes piercing.
